Committees
The CRs have several standing committees for the general body to get involved with. Committee appointments will begin in the Fall, and operations will begin immediately. Those interested in applying should contact the current executive board or inquire at the first general body meeting. Any questions about committees can be directed to the e-board member assigned to each team.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee shall work with the Vice President of External Operations to recruit new members and organized programs to retain membership, including all social activities of the CRs. All actions of the committee shall be subject to a majority approval of the Executive Board. Freshman representatives will be expected to work with the Membership Committee to coordinate events of North Campus when needed.
Speakers and Public Programs Committee
The Speakers and Public Programs Committee shall work with the Executive Vice President to organize all CR public programs, including organizing appearances by prominent Republican or conservative speakers. All actions of the committee shall be subject to a majority approval of the Executive Board.
Public Relations Committee
The Public Relations Committee shall work with the Vice President of External Operations to publicly promote the activities of the CRs to the Cornell community and to members of the press. There will also be coordination with the Vice President of Internal Operations. All actions of the committee shall be subject to a majority approval of the Executive Board.
Fundraising and Finance Committee
The Fundraising and Finance Committee shall work with the Treasurer to raise money from outside sources for any and all CR activities. All actions of the committee shall be subject to a majority approval of the Executive Board.
Philanthropy Committee
The Philanthropy Committee shall work with the Vice President of Internal Operations and the Philanthropy Chair to raise money for our various philanthropic goals. CRs work primarily with the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the US, and host the annual 9/11 memorial. All actions of the committee shall be subject to a majority approval of the Executive Board.
